As we look back on 75 years of history at IU Kokomo, we are highlighting just some of the many ways in which Black students, staff, faculty, and community members have shaped our campus.

This exhibit explores chapters of Black history at IU Kokomo with photographs, student newspaper articles, documents, and oral histories.

While we have tried to select a variety of archival records that depict a wide range of stories, perspectives, and events, we acknowledge that gaps and omissions in our collections limit our ability to tell a complete narrative.

To contribute your story, photographs, or records related to black history at IU Kokomo, please send us an email at iukarch@iuk.edu or call us at (765) 455-9412.
